SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 30, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Anglepoint, the global leader in software asset management (SAM) for the Fortune 500 and beyond, today announced its acquisition of Ireland-based BlackRock Technologies – the leader in Quest software licensing services – to cement its position as the leading provider of licensing and compliance services.
The acquisition increases Anglepoint’s global coverage of SAM services for all major publishers – including Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, and IBM – and expands the company’s footprint in Europe.

As part of the acquisition, BlackRock Technologies Founder and Director Dean Russell will join the Anglepoint leadership team.

Russell brings 30 years of experience in IT, finance, sales, business operations, internal audit, and software compliance to his new role. Prior to founding BlackRock Technologies, Russell led Dell Software’s global compliance program, where he was instrumental in negotiating complex license and settlement solutions. In total, Russell has led and coordinated thousands of compliance projects with settlement negotiations in excess of $500 million.
