The International Association of IT Asset Managers (IAITAM) said it had launched the world´s largest IT Asset Management Knowledge (ITAK) database.
ITAK is an open database made available by IAITAM at https://itak.iaitam.org
IAITAM´s new database will revolutionize how IT professionals and small business owners search for IT solutions and best practices by creating a “walled garden” of expert-curated articles broken down by subject area. By enabling readers to interact with the resource and “like” articles they find most valuable, the database will also incorporate the expertise of IAITAM members and other IT professionals, and will naturally become better and more efficient as it matures.
The database´s content, which is hand selected through a process of submission, review and approval, includes issues such as: The Best Ways to Destroy Data: “To Shred or Not to Shred?”; “Can Megadata Breaches be Prevented? Lessons from Target and Home Depot”, and “A Practical Guide to Audit-Readiness — Seven Tactical Actions that Deliver Results”.
