Software compliance audits conducted by the major global suppliers are already a reality in the world and a few years ago, they came strongly to the brazilian market.
Data from surveys carried out at the Gartner IT Financial, Procurement and Asset Management conferences between 2005 and 2014 show the percentage of respondents that being subjected to vendor software audits has increased from 30% to 67% during this period. These data basically reflect the evolution of these activities by the vendors in today’s mature markets like UK and US.
A similar poll of readers of The ITAM Review in July 2010 indicated that 78% of respondents had been audited, with an average of 2.5 audits each during the preceding 12 months.
Hands On Solutions is conducting an unprecedent survey in Brazil (click here to join), in order to map the state of maturity of Software Asset Management in Brazil and preliminary data indicate that 53% of companies have been subject to one or more audits in the last 12 months.
